Easy Weeknight Bolognese Sauce
Looking for a quick & hearty meal for a weeknight dinner? Look no further than this Bolognese recipe that layers flavors for that all-day cooking richness in a short amount of time. We used our Butcher's Blend for this, but also try The Signature Blend 1lb Brick.

1 lb Schweid & Sons Butcher's Blend Ground Beef Brick

1/2 lb Ground Pork

1 25oz Jar Marinara

1/2 cup Heavy Cream
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
1 cup Carrots (grated)
-
1 cup Celery (minced)
-
1 cup Onions (finely minced)

1 tsp salt
-
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
-
1 tsp Garlic Powder
-
1 tsp Sugar (optional)

1 lb Pappardelle Noodles

1. In a large saucepan, heat olive oil on medium heat. Once hot, carefully add in carrots, celery and onions and sauté for 3 minutes or until almost tender.

2. Add the Schweid and Sons Butcher's Blend Ground Beef and ground pork and cook until browned. Break up the meat as it cooks.

3. Pour in the sauce and add in salt, pepper, garlic powder and sugar. Simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. The sauce will start to thicken.

4. Once the Bolognese sauce reaches your desired consistency, stir in the heavy cream and remove from heat.

5. Serve over pappardelle or wide noodles and top with grated Parmesan cheese.
