4-
1 Pound Schweid & Sons The Taco Blend Ground Beef Brick
-
2 Each Yellow Onions (chopped)
-
3-4 Each Green, Red, Yellow, and/or Orange Bell Peppers (chopped)
-
1 Can Crushed Tomatoes
-
1 Can Red Kidney Beans (drained and rinsed)
-
1 Pack Schweid & Sons The Signature Blend Burger Patties
-
Pepper Jack Cheese (grated)
-
4 Each Burger Buns
-
1 Jar Pickled Jalapenos
-
1. Make the chili: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the Schweid & Sons Taco Blend ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks. Once browned, remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
-
2. Cook the vegetables: Add the chopped onions and bell peppers to the same skillet. Cook until the vegetables are softened and beginning to caramelize.
-
3. Build the chili: Add the crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, and browned beef back to the skillet. Stir everything together. Because The Taco Blend is already seasoned, no additional seasoning is needed.
-
4. Simmer: Reduce the heat and let the chili simmer, stirring occasionally, until it thickens and all of the flavors come together. Set aside and keep warm.
-
5. Cook the Burgers: Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the Schweid & Sons Signature Blend burger patties until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
-
6. Add the cheese: Generously cover each Burger patty with grated Pepper Jack cheese. Cover the skillet briefly to allow the cheese to melt completely.
-
7. Build the Burgers: Place each cheesy burger patty onto a burger bun and spoon a generous amount of the warm chili over the top.
-
8. Finish: Top with pickled jalapeños, if desired, and serve immediately.
