- 4 Patties Schweid & Sons The Butcher's Blend Burgers
- 4 Slices Provolone Cheese
- 1/2 Cup Pizza or Marinara Sauce
- 3 Cloves garlic
- 2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter (Softened)
- 1 Pound Store-bought Pizza Dough
- 1/4 Cup Flat Leaf Parsley (Finely Chopped)
- 1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- Finely chop garlic, continuing to mince until very finely chopped. Sprinkle with salt and chop more, dragging the knife across the garlic and cutting board to make a paste. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.
- Preheat oven to 425° F. Grease a cast iron skillet with softened butter and set aside.
- Cut pizza dough into three equal pieces. Roll each piece into a long rope and cut into two equal pieces. Take one piece of dough and roll into an 8” rope. Place a line of garlic paste, parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley (1 Tbsp or so of each), as well as 1-2 tsp of oregano on the board next to the dough. Roll the dough into the ingredients and back again to pick up all the ingredients off the board. Gently fold dough into a knot and place in greased cast iron skillet. Repeat with remaining dough until you have 6 garlic knots. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Bake until golden brown, about 15 minutes.
- While the garlic knots are cooking, heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add 1-2 Tbsp neutral oil to the pan, just enough to coat the bottom. Add burgers and cook, flipping once browned to your liking. After flipping, top each patty with a slice or provolone cheese and 1-2 Tbsp of pizza sauce. Cook until cheese is melted and burger is your desired temperature.
- Slice garlic knots in half crosswise and add your burger patty. Mangia!
