Ingredients
-
1 Pack Schweid & Sons Teriyaki Style Tri-Tip Blend
-
1 Cup Jasmine Rice
-
1 Cup Shelled Edemame (frozen, thawed or quickly blanched)
-
2-3 Each Persian Cucumbers (thinly sliced)
-
2 Each Medium Carrots (shaved into ribbons)
-
1 Cup Shredded Red Cabbage
-
2-3 Each Scallions (thinly sliced)
-
1-2 tsp Sesame seeds
Instructions
-
1. Cook the Rice: Cook jasmine rice according to package instructions. Fluff with a fork and set aside.
-
2. Prep the Vegetables: While the rice cooks, do the following: Slice the cucumbers into thin rounds - Use a vegetable peeler to shave carrots into ribbons - Thinly slice scallions - If needed, thaw edamame or blanch in boiling water for 2–3 minutes, then drain.
-
3. Cook the Marinated Steak Tips: Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until very hot. Add the Schweid & Sons Teriyaki Style Tri-Tip Blend in a single layer. Cook for 2–4 minutes per side (depending on size and preferred doneness), allowing a nice sear to develop. Remove from heat and let rest briefly. Tip: Don’t overcrowd the pan—work in batches if needed to keep that caramelized edge.
-
4. Assemble the Steak and Rice Bowls: Divide warm jasmine rice between bowls. Top with the following: Teriyaki Style Marinated Steak Tips - Edemame - Cucumber slices - Carrot ribbons - Shredded red cabbage.
-
5. Finish & Serve: Sprinkle with scallions and sesame seeds. No additional sauce needed—the rich teriyaki glaze from the steak ties everything together.
