Game Day Nachos

There’s a chill in the air; can you feel it? That’s right, fall is here, and we are in the full swing of football season. If you’re hosting the next game day get-together, there is no need to slave away in the kitchen making mounds of appetizers. You should get to enjoy the game too! Everyone loves nachos, and they can be customized however you like them. Nachos are a perfect appetizer for people to pick at and come back to for more! You can also scale the dish for any sized gathering. An epic portion of game day nachos might be just what’s needed for your next Sunday Funday spread. Try turning your kitchen or dining room table into a nacho grazing table—we’re not kidding!

Ok, Game Day Nachos:  Grazing Table Edition. Let’s break it down…

Pre-Game Stretch 

This is where you need to prepare your epic nacho table for game day. First things first, before you do anything, cover the table in a couple of layers to make sure it is fully protected. We suggest a table pad or fabric cover and then wrapping the whole table in aluminum foil to shield the surface from spills, etc.

Kickoff

Let’s get this party started! Go forth and organize all your key ingredients. First and foremost, premium ground beef. You’ll need a few packages of ground beef to brown up right before you assemble your nacho spread. The other staples include tortilla chips, shredded and/or melted cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and beans. For your ground beef, we recommend The Signature Blend or The Butcher’s Blend 1lb bricks.

Complete the Pass

Finish the spread with seasonings of your choice (if you like more tang or more heat, here is your opportunity). Or if you’re looking for a classic nacho beef taste, a homemade or store-bought taco seasoning will do the trick. Add any of these extras: sliced avocado or guacamole, sour cream, jalapenos, onions, lime, salsa, and queso. Instead of adding directly on top, you can add side bowls with guac, sour cream, or queso so your guests can take their own portions to their liking.

Touchdown

Your job is done when everyone has enjoyed your masterpiece—score! Set aside paper plates, napkins, and spoons or forks so your guests can easily help themselves and go back for more.
