Peach Caprese Burger

One of the most popular salad-inspired Burgers out there is based on the classic Italian Caprese salad. Garden tomatoes, fresh mozzarella cheese, basil, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar are paired with The Very Best Burgers to give you a fresh & flavorful meal. But what if you took that Burger even further and made a slightly sweeter version using peaches instead of tomatoes? Well, we think that would be delicious!
The Peach Caprese Burger is a delightful twist on a classic Hamburger, combining the flavors of summer with a touch of Italian inspiration. This Burger calls for grilled peaches, they will become caramelized, soft, and delicious! When you grill them, their natural sweetness is amplified, making it a harmonious balance to the beefy flavor of the Burger. This recipe is perfect for the summertime when you can get the best peaches! Peach season varies by state, but most fall from June/July through August/September. In some states including the “Peach State”, peach season starts in May. But if you’re lucky enough to live in Florida, you can enjoy peaches as early as March! Hurry, time is running out, head to your local grocer to get some in-season peaches for this Peach Caprese Burger! Make this your summer Burger staple!
The Burger Build
- Homemade pesto (1/2 cup olive oil, 1/4 cup lemon juice, and 1 cup of fresh basil)
- 4-5 ripe Peaches, sliced
- 8 oz Fresh mozzarella slices
- The Katana Blend Burger
- 2-3 tbsp Balsamic glaze
- Bun of choice, toasted
Peach Caprese Burger Recipe
- Make your pesto by combining basil, olive oil and lemon juice in a blender and pulsing until smooth.
- Preheat grill to medium high.
- Place peaches in a grill basket or small cast iron skillet and grill until softened, about 8-10 minutes.
- Season Burgers liberally with salt and pepper, then grill burgers to desired internal temperature, flipping once and topping with mozzarella cheese.
- Quickly toast buns then spread with pesto. Add your burger patty then top with additional basil leaves, grilled peaches and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
