National Small Business Week 2018: Seven Small Restaurants That We Love
As a family-owned and operated company, we understand how truly important small businesses really are. So in honor of this year’s National Small Business Week (not to mention the beginning of May, which marks the start of National Hamburger Month!) we wanted to take a moment to recognize just a few of our many wonderful foodservice partners. We thank you for your continued support.
Celebrate National Small Business Week in your neighborhood by supporting local restaurants in your area!
Curbside
Baton Rouge, LA
Getting their start in 2010 as a popular food truck before putting roots down at 4158 Government Street in Baton Rouge, the guys behind Curbside Burgers certainly know a thing or two about making great food. They offer a wide selection of Schweid & Sons Butcher Blend Burgers, ranging from the traditional Curbside Classic (lettuce, tomato, homemade pickles, and red onion) to the delectable Smokin’ Joe[L] (sharp cheddar, bacon, fried onion strings, and smoke sauce).
Kings of Kobe
New York, NY
New York City’s own Kings of Kobe put a superior spin on what they call two staples of American childhood: hot dogs and Hamburgers. (“After all, what better culinary experience represents our social freedom, more than a hot dog and Burger on 4th of July?” asks their website). The Hell’s Kitchen restaurant proudly serves up our Katana Blend, which is derived from Waygu Beef, an American-styled Kobe beef. Their creations include the Better Than Caesar: arugula, burrata, stone fruit relish, and a balsamic glaze on one of our Katana patties.
Side Bar at Whiskey Row
Louisville, KY
Sidebar at Whiskey Row boasts a unique history as well as an exceptional Burger blend. The establishment itself is located in a beautiful limestone building that was constructed in 1877, and offers patrons a lovely dining atmosphere that includes high ceilings and 11 foot windows. Their Burger blend is just as spectacular, as it’s a special Schweid & Sons recipe that combines choice chuck, brisket, and short rib cuts to create such a magical taste.
