Cranberry Brie Burger
Instructions
Cranberry Relish
  1. 1. Start by making the cranberry relish: Rinse the fresh cranberries and remove any stems or debris. In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, granulated sugar, water, orange juice, orange zest, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cranberries have burst, and the mixture has thickened. Stir occasionally. Remove the relish from the heat and let it cool to room temperature. It will continue to thicken as it cools.`
Burger
  1. 2. While the cranberry relish is cooling, prepare the burgers: Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat. Season each Burger patty with salt and pepper on both sides. Grill the Burger patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare or longer to your desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, add the Brie cheese slices to the top of each patty and cover with a lid to melt the cheese. Toast the Burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until they are lightly browned.
  2. 3. Assemble the Schweid & Sons Burgers: Spread cranberry relish generously on bottom bun, then place a few pieces of butter lettuce on the bottom half of each toasted burger bun. Add a Brie-topped Burger patty on top of the lettuce. Spread top bun with more cranberry relish, then top with the other half of the Burger bun.
  3. 4. Serve your Brie and Cranberry Arugula Burgers hot with your choice of side dishes, like sweet potato fries, coleslaw, or a simple garden salad. Enjoy!
