As the third and final presidential debate aired Wednesday night, Burger lovers filled The Ainsworth’s 33rd Street location in Midtown Manhattan to feast on Burgers specially crafted by Chef Stephen Yen in homage to the two major candidates. Patrons then cast their votes for their favorites, with the top Burger on each side winning a slot on The Ainsworth menu through election day. Check out all the photos from the event here.
So let’s get to the issues…er…the Burgers.
The Heirloom Hillary: This Italian-flavored burger features burrata cheese, heirloom tomatoes, basil, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and sea salt.
Little Rock Shrimp Burger: Named for Clinton’s former home in Arkansas, this Burger features bang bang shrimp, bibb lettuce, pickled jalapenos, and spicy mayo.
The Chillary: A “liberal scoop” (get it?) of Arkansas slaw on top of a bacon BBQ cheeseburger.
The Trump Tower: Bologna and beef sliders, stacked up tall.
The Wall: Chili-lime-rubbed Angus beef, avocado, salsa, cotijá cheese, créma.
The Comb Over: Cotton candy “hair” on top of a classic bacon Cheeseburger.
And the winners are…
The Heirloom Hillary
